One night my wife and I went out to see the Lead Singer in our band (Mary Bruner) sing karaoke at the Valley Pub in Long Valley, NJ. At the end of the night my wife and I said our goodbyes and started to walk out the door only to be stopped in our tracks by some guy singing a Journey song - When You Love A Woman. I thought I was listening to Steve Perry it was that good. Immediately I went back and asked Mary who is this awesome male singer and she told me his name - Jeff Hebbe!! From that point on, Jeff became a member of our band Waking Hebbe and not only was he a fantastic singer but became a great friend to me and my family! Although I really only new Jeff for about a year it felt like I have known him forever - he was that type of guy - warm, kind, generous and thought the world of his family, Sue Gianni, his children, and his friends! Although his passing was sorrowful and I miss him so dearly, I was fortunate enough to have captured a memory of Jeff that expresses his absolute love for his children and a strong memory for me, my family, his wife Sue, his family, his wonderful children, friends, and Waking Hebbe! It is the only recording of Jeff that I have singing his original song "Daddy Loves You" performng it with me on the keyboards, and Bobby Girod on Guitar. Mary Bruner was by his side when he was singing it that day and had worked side by side with Jeff on the lyrical content..this is his song..may it live on forever in his honor!
